I use my Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher training to help you mindfully attune to yourself and discern between when you are dysregulated versus regulated and take action before overwhelm sets in.

FAQs about Counseling in OKC

Step 1. You schedule a discovery call with me. Here we determine what you need and if the skills that I have can help. 

Step 2. If all things align, then we look at schedules and book a 90 minute intake appointment. 

Step 3. You get paperwork emailed to you to go over and fill out so that we can hit the ground running when it’s time for your intake. 

We start by meeting weekly and then move to 90 minute sessions at a reduced frequency. Until, you are ready for termination. 

Several things but three main ones are:

  1. You’re willingness to try new things and be honest with yourself and me.
  2. What you are wanting to get out of our time together in counseling.
  3. How long/troublesome the issues have been occurring. 

On average about 6 to 12 months, from start to termination, depending on what your goals are. Some people I work with want more support, want to tackle multiple issues or simply desire a consistent space to keep moving through things in a way that they are unable to do anywhere else in life. These individuals stay on longer or once they terminate set up check in sessions. However everyone is different. We check in regularly to see how counseling is working for you and  make tweaks. I stand by the belief that there is no right or wrong length of time for people to be in counseling.
