Frequently Asked Questions

Payment & Cancellation Policy

What is your cancellation policy?

I offer 3 no charge cancellations in a calendar year. At any time during our work together you have 3 weeks to reschedule any session you may not be able to attend. If you are unable to reschedule that will count as 1 of your 3 cancellations. Once you use up all 3 cancellations you are responsible for paying full session fee.

What form of payment do you accept for counseling services?

Currently, you will have you card on file with IVY Pay. To maintain confidentiality this platform allows me to store information & bill in a way that is HIPPA compliant. This is not possible through other avenues like CashApp, Venmo, etc.

Do you accept insurance?

I am currently in-network with Healthchoice. However, please note that couples sessions are not billed through insurance due to relational issues not meeting DSM diagnostic criteria.

How much do sessions cost?

Individual sessions cost $175 per 55 minutes

Couples sessions cost $285 per 90 minutes

Getting ready for session

What do I do if I’m ready to schedule a session with you?

Yay, I'm excited to meet you! The next step is to go to the reach out page. From there you will be able to get in touch with me in the way that works for you.

  • For some, they want to do a free discovery call before scheduling.
  • For others, they would rather just leave me a voicemail.
  • You might find that you'd rather email me.
  • Or request an intake appointment so you can get started right now.

I'll be ready however you decide to reach out.

How can I prepare for my session?

To give you just one thing be honest. Hopefully that is already a goal of yours to be honest with me in session but those that I have seen truly blossom are truly being honest with themselves.

What if I get the urge to cancel an intake session?

A normal urge experienced by many and some do end up canceling an intake. Getting the urge to cancel is a normal response and as much as I’d like to tell I’m ready to met you, which I am. It’s just as true that you need to be willing even if you might never feel quite ready.

Do you ever text me in between counseling session?

Unlikely, emails are the easiest way to reach me and my preference when reaching out to you.

As long as it is okay with you, I will often send out an email on your birthday, after you have had a particularly hard time, if I know you are getting ready for something that feels big, or if I just want to send words of encouragement, then you will hear from me.

Other than that communication is limited to during our sessions and for scheduling purposes unless you reach out with a need or request.

What do I wear to therapy?

Completely up to you, this isn't a job interview. I want you to feel as comfortable as possible! Leave all the discomfort for the work we do. 🙂 Whether you are your most comfortable in pajamas or dressed up, do what best suits you.
