I’m glad that you are here!
I am excited to invite you to share in this virtual space with me. I’m glad to have someone else pour over these words. Words that I have re-read, re-written and used the backspace on more times than is possible to count. Thank you for taking your time and energy to come here and partake. I want to tell you about myself, about the blog and what you’ll find while you are here.
About Me & Writing:
Writing does not come naturally to me. I have trained to be a mental health therapist in university. The larger truth is that I’ve been training to be a therapist my whole life, or my life has been training me, whichever way you want to look at it. My comfort zone is in talking and listening; typically in a crowd of humans that I can see. You are currently an invisible and unknown entity to me so, there aren’t any visual cues for me to go off of. This is a different level of scary.

Why this blog?
Mental health has been seen as separate from physical health. There is a plethora of shame and stigma around therapy, diagnoses and mental health as a whole. I want to encourage conversations about taking care of ourselves mentally and emotionally. I want mental well-being to be as normal as breathing.
As you read, you get to or stumble upon something that helps nurture you on your journey, whether now or in the future. I wish that you will share with me, another human, so that having conversations about mental health can become normal and not taboo.
What you will find in this blog:
While you are reading through these virtual pages you will find topics about anxiety, mindfulness, communication and therapy.
My hope is that you get curious. At the end of each blog I invite you to take what fits for you and leave what does not. I want these blogs to encourage you to draw your own conclusions. Each post is not a one-size fits all. There will be content that resonates with you and others that do not. That’s human.
I look forward to hearing from you and hope this helps you as you take your own powerful and transformative journey. Per usual take what fits for you, leave what does not, and join me next time. Until then let’s stay social
